Biography

Baby Gang, born Zaccaria Mouhib in Lecco on 26 June 2001 to Moroccan parents, emerged through a style rooted in street rap, trap and the experiences of young people growing up between cultures. Poverty, exclusion and the search for belonging run through his music, alongside a strong attachment to his Moroccan heritage. His delivery moves between confrontational verses and melodic hooks, giving his songs both an abrasive edge and an immediate appeal.

His early life included periods living on the streets, in youth detention and in residential communities. An important figure in his move towards music was Don Claudio Burgio, founder of the Kayros community, who encouraged him to record and develop his abilities. Baby Gang began attracting attention with “Street” in 2018, followed by tracks including “Educazione” and “Cella 1”. These early releases introduced the autobiographical perspective that would remain central to his work, drawing on instability, confinement and his difficult relationship with authority.

In 2021, he released EP1 before making his album debut with DELINQUENTE. The two projects established him within a new generation of rappers whose audiences were growing rapidly through YouTube and streaming platforms. “Casablanca”, recorded with Spanish-Moroccan rapper Morad, became one of his signature songs and demonstrated the connections between his music and the wider European street-rap scene. EP2 followed in 2022, featuring “Mentalité”, a breakthrough track that carried his music beyond an exclusively Italian audience.

His second album, INNOCENTE, arrived in 2023 through No Parla Tanto Records and Warner Music Italy. Collaborations with Guè, Emis Killa, Ghali and Lazza placed him alongside established figures in the scene, while international guests strengthened the cross-border character of his work. A deluxe edition later expanded the project, with “Mocro Mafia” and “Libertad” further developing the links between his Moroccan identity and his European musical network.

With L’Angelo del Male in 2024, Baby Gang brought together an even broader range of collaborators, including Marracash, Geolier, Sfera Ebbasta and Fabri Fibra. The album continued to explore the tensions running through his earlier music: anger and vulnerability, loyalty and isolation, ambition and the consequences of street life. Across these releases, his distinctive perspective comes from the connection between personal experience, second-generation identity and a rap culture that extends beyond national borders.

Baby Gang - EP1 (2021)

Released on 14 May 2021, EP1 is Baby Gang’s first EP, bringing together seven tracks at an early turning point in his career. It gave a more complete introduction to the rapper who had been building an audience through songs such as “Street” and “Cella 1”, gathering his direct delivery and autobiographical approach into a single project.

The EP features Il Ghost, Omar, Neima Ezza, Rondodasosa and Escomar, placing Baby Gang alongside other emerging voices. “Treni”, featuring Il Ghost, connects with the movement and instability that recur in his early storytelling. Across the project, hard-edged rap sits alongside melodic passages, with themes of loyalty, exclusion and the desire to escape difficult circumstances.

EP1 captures the opening stage of Baby Gang’s recording career, before the broader exposure brought by DELINQUENTE later that year. Its compact format keeps the focus on his voice and immediate surroundings, establishing the personal experiences and relationships that would continue to shape his subsequent releases.

Baby Gang - DELINQUENTE (2021)

Released on 27 August 2021, DELINQUENTE is Baby Gang’s debut studio album, arriving just a few months after EP1. It develops the autobiographical approach of his early releases, drawing on a youth marked by poverty, instability and encounters with the justice system. The title puts the label attached to him at the centre of the record, while the songs offer a wider picture of the experiences behind it.

“Casablanca”, featuring Spanish-Moroccan rapper Morad, is one of the album’s defining tracks. Their collaboration brings together two artists whose music reflects Moroccan heritage and life in Europe, giving the project a connection beyond the Italian scene. Baby Gang combines forceful verses with melodic hooks, moving between defiance, loyalty to those around him and the ambition to build a different future.

Following the introduction provided by EP1, DELINQUENTE gave Baby Gang more space to establish his musical identity. Its appeal rests on the directness of his delivery and the personal perspective running through the songs. The album marked an important step from his early online following towards a wider audience, laying the groundwork for EP2 and INNOCENTE.

Baby Gang - EP2 (2022)

Released on 17 June 2022, EP2 is Baby Gang’s second EP, following his debut album DELINQUENTE. The original eight-track release keeps a compact format, combining forceful rap with melodic hooks. Bobo and Higashi contribute to a sound that gives Baby Gang room to move between confrontational delivery and more reflective passages.

“Mentalité” became the project’s defining song, helping introduce his music to listeners beyond Italy. Elsewhere, “Paranoia”, “Combattere” and “Cella 3” continue the atmosphere of pressure, conflict and confinement found in his earlier work. “Lei”, featuring Bené, and “Mamacita”, featuring Sacky, bring additional voices and a more melodic balance to the tracklist.

The expanded edition featured here adds “Come Te”, a collaboration with Dutch producer Trobi, bringing the total to nine tracks. EP2 captures an important stage between DELINQUENTE and INNOCENTE, with Baby Gang developing the memorable refrains and international connections that would become increasingly prominent in his music.

Baby Gang - INNOCENTE (2023)

Released on 26 May 2023, INNOCENTE is Baby Gang’s second studio album, issued through No Parla Tanto Records and Warner Music Italy. Following DELINQUENTE and EP2, it broadens his sound through a larger cast of collaborators while retaining the direct, autobiographical perspective of his earlier work. Confinement, identity, loyalty and ambition remain central, with melodic hooks giving the record a balance between aggression and vulnerability.

The album opens with “Cella 4”, continuing a series closely associated with his early career, before moving into tracks such as “Napoletano” and “Que Lo Ke”. “Tony Montana”, featuring Guè, and “Come Mai”, with Emis Killa, connect his delivery with established voices in rap. Elsewhere, “Tiffany”, featuring Ghali, and “Restare”, with Lazza, add contrasting vocal approaches. Guests including Lacrim and Elai extend the album’s international reach.

The standard edition featured here contains 15 tracks, including “Napoletano RMX” with SLF. A deluxe edition followed in October 2023, expanding the project with songs including “Seconda Generazione”, “Mocro Mafia” and “Libertad”. The original album already marks a clear development in Baby Gang’s career, bringing his personal storytelling into a more varied musical setting without losing the urgency that distinguished his first releases.

Baby Gang - L'Angelo del Male (2024)

Released on 26 April 2024, L’Angelo del Male is Baby Gang’s third studio album. Following INNOCENTE, it brings together an extensive cast of guests while keeping his own experiences at the centre. The title reflects the contradictions explored across the record, with anger, vulnerability and the desire for change running through songs about street life, relationships and social exclusion.

The opening tracks, “Guerra” and “Bloods & Crips”, establish a tense atmosphere before “Gangster”, featuring Paky. “Adrenalina” pairs BLANCO with Marracash, while “Agente” brings together Emis Killa and Jake La Furia. These collaborations give the album contrasting vocal styles, moving between melodic passages and more forceful exchanges.

“Miez A Via”, featuring Geolier, and “Huracàn”, with Gemitaiz and MadMan, further broaden the record’s range. “Sola” features Lazza and Tedua, while “Madame” and “Millionaire” include Sfera Ebbasta and Guè respectively. Despite the crowded guest list, Baby Gang’s recognisable delivery provides continuity across the different combinations.

Near the end, “Non Mi Vedi” gathers Fabri Fibra, Ernia, Rkomi and Geolier, before “Venom” closes the original tracklist. The album develops the collaborative approach of INNOCENTE on a larger scale, placing Baby Gang alongside several generations of rap artists while continuing the personal themes established in his earliest releases.
